Tooth Sealants in Cary, NC

What is a Tooth Sealant?

A tooth sealant is used to protect your teeth from decay. Sealants are made from a thin acrylic that coats each tooth, protecting grooves or shallow places in the tooth from decay. The acrylic coating protects your teeth by shielding them from acidic foods and drinks. Sealants also act as barriers against plaque. When plaque builds up it leads to decay.

Children and adults may opt to get a sealant on each tooth. It is a fairly quick process, and can last for years. Tooth Sealants are a great preventative measure for your teeth and overall oral health .
